SafeNest
========

INSTALLING IT - THE EASY WAY

    Double-click "Install SafeNest (Mac).command"
The first time, RIGHT-CLICK it and choose Open (macOS asks once for
anything not from the App Store - choose Open). It moves the app to
Applications and sets it up. After that, open it from Applications
    with a normal double-click.

IF YOU PREFER TO DO IT BY HAND
    1. Drag SafeNest.app into your Applications folder.
    2. Right-click SafeNest -> Open -> Open (only the first time).
If you are only offered 'Move to Bin', open Terminal and run:
         xattr -cr /Applications/SafeNest.app
       then open the app again.

  WHY macOS ASKS
This app is signed but not registered with Apple (that costs a yearly
fee), so macOS asks you once whether you trust it. Nothing is wrong
    with the download.

  ACTIVATING IT
The first time you open it, paste the licence key you were sent.
Until then it stays locked. The key came with this download.

  STARTING IT
    Double-click Install SafeNest (Mac).command
The first run asks a few questions and sets everything up. After
that it starts by itself whenever you switch this computer on.

  WHERE YOUR RECORDS ARE
In the 'data' folder next to the program. They never leave this
computer. Copy that folder to a USB drive now and again - it is
your only backup, and nobody else holds one.

  ON YOUR PHONE
While this computer is on, open the address the program prints when
it starts, from any device on the same Wi-Fi. To reach it from
outside the house, see Profile -> Web address inside the app.

  IF SOMETHING LOOKS WRONG
Close the window and start the program again. Your records are on
disk and are not affected by restarting it.
